ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN SPORTS) – The Florida Cup Challenge and Playoffs will bring football (soccer) clubs from nations across the world to Central and South Florida to battle for the coveted trophy including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Germany and Spain. Florida Cup CEO Ricardo Villar and the heads from the teams held a press conference at University of Central Florida at I-Drive 360 Thursday. Playoff sponsors include VisitOrlando, Orlando Health, Delta Airlines, UCF, I-Drive 360, The City of St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Lennar and Montverde Academy, a private school renowned for its sports programs and whose students have gone on to become professional athletes.

In addition to the matches, soccer fans can enjoy the Florida Cup Fan Fest, which will kick off January 7, 2017 at 6 p.m. at I-Drive 360, featuring DJ Bruno Freshco performing with Divazz Trio and Fabio Brazza. The Fan Fest will party on for the duration of the Florida Cup until the Closing Ceremony January 21.
