ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – 2018 Republican candidate for governor and Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam did a meet and greet at the Eastmonte Civic Center Tuesday afternoon as part of his 10-day, 22-stop “Florida First” campaign bus tour, which launched in Bartow last week.
He spoke about his deep roots in Florida (he is a fifth generation Floridian), Florida exceptionalism, making sure Florida is the foremost state in the country that gives veterans, active duty servicemembers, law enforcement officers, and first responders with the utmost treatment, and the importance of molding the education system to cultivate students into careers that complement their studies. After his rally speech, he spoke with constituents and their families, giving honor to the veterans he met.
He spoke with Florida National News and other reporters about the top-of-mind Republican issues: Florida’s budget, the state of Obamacare, medical marijuana, education, and keeping Florida safe.
