LAS VEGAS, NV (FNN NEWS) – Ariana Grande is safe following reported explosions that left several dead and others injuredat her Manchester, England, concert on Monday, May 22, Billboard reports. According to the site, the singer’s rep confirmed she’s “OK.”
TMZ reports that the singer, who was in the midst of a world tour and was set to perform in London on Thursday, May 25, was “in hysterics” after learning that 19 of her fans had been killed in the attack and has suspended her tour indefinitely.
“Tonight, our hearts are broken. Words cannot express our sorrow for the victims and families harmed in this senseless attack,” Grande’s manager Scooter Brauntweeted late on Monday. “We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act. We are thankful for the selfless service tonight of Manchester’s first responders who rushed towards danger to help save lives. We ask all of you to hold the victims, their families, and all those affected in your hearts and prayers.”
As previously reported, concertgoers took to social media to document the hysteria that occurred after two huge explosions allegedly went off inside the arena shortly after the singer left the stage. Emergency services responded to the scene and the Manchester police department confirmed via social media that “there are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured.”
According to the Manchester police department, 19 have been confirmed dead and about 50 people were injured.
