ORLANDO, Fla. – (FNN NEWS) – Central Florida state lawmakers will hold a news conference to announce two bills filed this week following the tragic death of an Orlando three-year-old child. Last summer Myles Hill was left unattended in a hot daycare van, only to be discovered dead 12 hours later. The news conference will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:45 a.m. at the Orange County Administration Building Media Room, 201 South Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801.
State Senator Linda Stewart (D-Orlando) and State Representative Bruce Antone (D-Orlando) will be announcing details of SB 486 and HB 305 at the news conference, and will be joined by Senator Randolph Bracy (D-Ocoee) and Senator Victor Torres (D-Kissimmee). The bills are designed to curtail the frequency of incidents in which children are left in daycare vehicles.
