WINTER PARK, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Orange County mayoral candidate and businessman Rob Panepinto had a private meet and greet with residents and supporters in Winter Park Wednesday. He expressed his excitement for the upcoming primary and his confidence in bing the best candidate. “We feel we have the most detailed plan,” he told Florida National News in an exclusive interview.
Now that the 2018 hurricane season has officially begun, FNN News also asked him about his hurrican prep strategy. He stressed the importance of having measures in place to prevent the disasterous flooding Orange County residents faced during Hurricanes Irma and Maria last year and making sure Orange County properly hires contractors for post-disaster cleanup so that cleanup can happen in a timely fashion.
Panepinto is currently running against Orange County Commissioner Pete Clarke and Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings for the seat that will be left by current mayor Teresa Jacobs, who cannot run again due to term limits.
