Former State Senator Gary Siplin Running for Orlando City Commission Seat

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Former State Senator Gary Siplin, husband to Orange County District 6 Commissioner Victoria Siplin filed to run for Orlando City Commission District 6, currently held by Commissioner Samuel B. Ings, Tuesday.

Siplin made the announcement on his Facebook account with a photo of him signing the papers as well as an image of his campaign logo with the caption, “FAMILY today I filed to become your next City of Orlando Commissioner of District 6!!! PRAISE GOD!”

Commissioner Ings filed to run for Orlando City Mayor on February 27, 2019, which left the opening for Siplin to run for the seat. Commissioner Ings will officially launch his mayoral campaign March 14.

So far Siplin has no opponents.
