The Best of Florida Funk Fest 2016: Orlando
ORLANDO (FNN NEWS ) – The Funk Fest presented by Pepsi lived up to it’s name. It was funky and exciting! Thousands of fans flocked to the Central Florida Fair Grounds on Saturday, to see performances by Grammy Award winner Faith Evans, Baby Face, Jagged Edge, Uncle Luke, Rakim, The 69 Boys, and New Edition perform over the weekend.

Hip Hop legend (rapper) Rakim opened up the show with his classic hit “I Ain’t No Joke,” and the crowd went wild! – Fans rapped along in sync to “Know the Ledge,” he was sharp and didn’t miss a beat. Rakim’s overall grade based on performance, production, sound, and vocals, he gets a B.
Rakim began his career as the emcee of the rap duo Eric B. & Rakim, who in 2011 were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2012, The Source ranked him #1 on their list of the ‘Top 50 Lyricists of All Time.’
Faith Evans returns home:
Multi-platinum artist and Grammy Award winner Faith Evans returned home to Central Florida by way of Lakeland, Florida, with an incredible performance. — Faith is 42-years-old and she looks great, sounds great, and certainly will make a major comeback with Bad Boy Records this year.
Faith Evans’ overall grade based on performance, production, sound, and vocals, she gets a B.
