JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (FNN SPORTS) – The Jacksonville Jaguars have relieved Nathaniel Hackett of his duties as offensive coordinator, the club announced today.
With the Jaguars’ 24-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills yesterday adding an eighth loss overall and seventh consecutive loss to an already struggling season–the team has only won three games on the season–a firing was inevitable. The decision was also made imperative after the fight that erupted between Jags and Bills players early in yesterday’s game that continued into the tunnel even after the players were removed from the field.
“We would like to thank Nathaniel for his hard work and dedication to the Jaguars organization, and we wish him and his family the best moving forward.” said Head Coach Doug Marrone. “These are always tough decisions, but as the head coach, I have to do what I think is best for this football team.”
