ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Florida’s Orange Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor Daisy Morales and Supervisor-elect Dawn C. Curtis will be sworn in by Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell at the Orange County Board of County Commissioners Chambers Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 5pm, Orange Soil & Water Conservation District Board Chairwoman Daisy Morales announced Monday.
The Oath of Office ceremony is open to the public, and free parking is available at the Orange County Government’s parking lot and at the public parking garage next to Orange County. You can RSVP your attendance here.
Incumbent Supervisor Daisy Morales won re-election during the November 2018 general election by 256,342 (64%) votes to retain her seat (2) on the Soil & Water Board for another four-year term. She will be sworn in by Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings.
First-time candidate Dawn C. Curtis won by 61% of the votes during the November 2018 general election to replace outgoing Chairman Eric Rollings’ seat (4) on the Soil & Water Board. She will be sworn in by Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell.
Morales’ second term and Curtis’ first term as a state elected District Supervisors will begin on January 8, 2019.
