ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Orange Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor and Board Chairman Eric Rollings (D) filed paperwork on Friday to run for the Orange County Commissioner, District 3 seat in 2020. Rollings is the first candidate to officially file to run for public office in 2020 with Orange County Supervisor of Election’s office.
Pete Clarke (R) is the current District 3 Orange County Commissioner, who recently announced his run for Orange County Mayor in 2018.
Rollings is one of five elected Supervisors on the Orange Soil & Water Conservation District Board. He was elected to the Board in 2014 as Supervisor seat 4.
Seats 2 and 4 are up for re-election in 2018. Daisy Morales is the elected Supervisor for seat 2. Rollings’s seat will be open then because he can not run for two offices.
Rollings announced his candidacy on Facebook Friday.
