TAMPA BAY, Fla. (FNN SPORTS) – Thousands of season pass holders and Club members showed up in full red, white and black in support of their Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the Bucs’ official NFL Draft Party, presented by Miller Lite, at Raymond James Stadium Thursday evening. Thursday was Round 1 of 7 for the 82nd NFL Draft and nearly every Bucs fan was on edge to see which players were headed to which team. Tampa Bay had the 19th pick.
Fans were able to meet, take photos with, and get autographs from players, including CB Vernon Hargreaves III.
After roughly two hours, the crowd went nuts at the sight of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo “On the Clock” on the NFL Network, which broadcast the NFL Draft live in Philadelphia. When the Bucs’ time was up, NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell announced Tampa Bay’s pick: Alabama Crimson Tide tight end O.J. Howard.
Some fans were disappointed and weren’t afraid to express it, but out of unrelenting support for their team, bit the bullet and accepted the decision.
