“Unplanned” Movie Comes to Orlando, Inspired by Conservative Activist Korrie Lupino Stevenson

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – On Wednesday, March 27th, Unplanned the movie will be viewed in a privately sponsored showing in Orlando. The movie documents a Planned Parenthood Director and her role in more than 20,000 abortions and is based on a true story.

“After reading the book Unplanned I began an private dialogue with the person who lived the experience, Abby Johnson, a former Director for Planned Parenthood in Texas,” said Korrie Lupino Stevenson, a mother of two and conservative activist living in Orlando, Florida, who inspired the event. “When the news was finally released in 2019 that the movie would have pre-screening showings, my hope was to create an event that included pro-life and pro-choice or on-the-fence neighbors and friends so that a conversation could begin regarding the reality of abortion.”

Stevenson actually witnessed, on video and while in school, a full abortion at the age of 12 back in 1987. She keenly recalls not wanting to personally experience an abortion and also wanted to become an advocate for the pro-life movement. “Watching that video helped me to make decisions which prevented me from being in situations where pregnancy could occur,” said Stevenson. “Education is the most important tool we have. If Planned Parenthood truly wants abortions to be rare….they should go into the same lower income areas where they have the majority of their facilities and show the youth the truth about abortions.”

Stevenson added, “I’m not unique in my goal to educate those who may be unprepared for the conversation or have met other people with the same experience with youth.” There are over 200,000 abortions in the United States each year–over 2,000 at the time this article was written.

“This movie is not only about the facts of abortion, but also healing for those who have had abortions or have worked in the abortion industry. I learned from Abby over the past many years to not see them simply in anger, but to have a desire to reach out to them in love and care. As Abby says consistently, the goal is to make abortion ‘unthinkable.’ How can we do that if we have equally hardened hearts?” -Korrie Lupino Stevenson

A private donor rented out an entire theater for the event and the program was promoted locally by the conservative radio show the American Adversaries.

So, little missy does not want an abortion (as if anyone really does) so she blocks anyone, no matter what the circumstance, from having one. And yet, Lord Drumpf wants education about birth control by Planned Parenthood to be illegal and encourages companies to refuse health insurance to cover birth control.
