Florida National News teamed up with Dunkin’ Donuts near the Orlando Fashion Square Mall to make a surprise delivery of two dozen donuts and two boxes of Joe coffee to our viewers at D’Best Floorz & More.
Tink, Store Manager for the Dunkin’ Donuts store at Bennett Road and East Colonial Drive, always looks forward to National Donut Day. “It’s great making deliveries to businesses like these…and seeing people happy for free donuts. Our store is bustling…we’ll be baking them [donuts] fresh all day long. Everyone can come in, buy a drink, and get a free donut.”
This is the 81st year for National Doughnut Day, which was first celebrated in Chicago. The day was established in 1938 to honor The Salvation Army Donut Lassies, women who served the treats to soldiers during World War I.
