In my interview with Martha Stewart, one of her top to-do’s in the arena of organization (and especially for women) is to keep your closet in order! I couldn’t agree more.
In our professional and business lives, being orderly saves precious time that can easily and often get spent looking for items that are misplaced. You know…like your glasses and keys for example??? Who hasn’t wasted time looking for essentials?
How about having a plan for daily dressing that is effortless? Since it IS something we all have to do every day, why not keep it simple and strategic? As a business professional, I not only have to get myself dressed and fully together every morning, but I also have two daughters to manage. The entrepreneur life can be wonderfully rewarding for benefits like flexible hours etc, but one thing is true: The discipline of using our time wisely is a must.
I found that setting out everything I will need the night before helps me stay on track in the busy morning rush. The more prepared for success you can be, the more likely it is to find you! I try to set out everything, including jewelry, shoes, purse choice and any necessary file folders or material I will need for meetings or clients.
When it comes to the ultimate Queen of Organization, it’s not me! But it IS this lady: Watch my interview with Martha Stewart here.
