EATONVILLE, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – The 31st Annual Zora Neale Hurston Festival of Arts and Humanities begins on January 25th, 2020 in the historic Town of Eatonville.
This year, guests can enjoy a star-studded concert at the Zora Neale Hurston Museum February 1, 2020 from 6-10 p.m. Performers include Public Announcement, Howard Hewitt and Michel’le.
Debuting in 1990, the Zora Neale Hurston Festival has grown to a nine-day festival comprised of theatrical productions, museum exhibitions, public talks, arts education programming, merchandise from master craft artisan vendors from around the world, and an outdoor festival of the arts. Produced by the Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community, Inc., a 501(c)3, historic preservation and cultural arts organization, the festival celebrates the life and work of 20th century folklorist, writer, and anthropologist, Zora Neale Huston, as well as the cultural contributions by people of African ancestry.
