Community Coffee Launches “Generations” Campaign Honoring 105 Years of Family Legacy

Published

on

BATON ROUGE, La. (FNN) – Community Coffee, the #1 family-owned retail coffee brand in America, has unveiled its new brand campaign, “Generations,” celebrating its 105-year history and five generations of family ownership. Rooted in the mission to foster connection through every cup, the campaign highlights the brand’s enduring legacy and its commitment to bringing people together.

The campaign is featured across TV, streaming video, digital platforms, social media, and audio, connecting with both long-time loyal customers and a new generation of coffee drinkers.

A Rich History in Every Sip

The campaign’s commercial begins with an image of the F.L. and H.N. Saurage General Merchandise Store, where Community Coffee was born. Founder Henry Norman “Cap” Saurage created his now-famous secret coffee blend in 1919, and his family continues to uphold the tradition of roasting smooth, rich coffee to this day.

“This campaign resonates deeply with me because it highlights the rich history and connection we share as a community over a simple cup of coffee,” said third-generation owner Donna Saurage. “It reminds me that every sip is not just about the beverage, but about the relationships and values that bind us together.”

Spotlighting Legacy and Community Impact

The “Generations” campaign underscores Community Coffee’s dedication to community-building:

  • Two Signature Coffees: Featured in the campaign are the Breakfast Blend, a classic favorite, and Mardi Gras King Cake, a flavored coffee celebrating Louisiana heritage.
  • Community Giving: The commercial highlights Community Coffee’s long-standing Cash for Schools® program, which has raised over $8.5 million for students and teachers since 1988.
  • Honoring Educators: The company celebrates outstanding educators through the H. Norman Saurage III Service Award, in partnership with Dream Teachers.
  • Military and Disaster Relief: Community Coffee supports military service members and provides disaster relief, further solidifying its role as a community pillar.

“With this new campaign, we aim to show that Community Coffee is about more than just a great cup of coffee,” said CEO Tom Corley. “Our company is committed to supporting communities locally here in Baton Rouge and far beyond.”

Connecting Past and Present

Created in partnership with TMA, a Dallas-based creative agency, the campaign weaves nostalgia with modernity. It reflects the timeless value of sharing a cup of coffee.

“Sharing a cup of coffee with an old neighbor or a new friend is as relevant and rewarding today as it was in the past,” said fourth-generation owner Matt Saurage. “So often, it’s through conversations over coffee that people share ideas, relationships are built, and communities are inspired.”

A Celebration of Generations

Community Coffee’s new campaign not only celebrates its enduring success but also reaffirms its pledge to serve with integrity, consistency, and excellence. The company remains a proud founding member of World Coffee Research, ensuring sustainability and innovation for the coffee industry.

As the brand continues its journey, the “Generations” campaign invites both old and new customers to celebrate the connections and memories created over a simple cup of coffee.
