Congressman Marc Veasey: Honorary Host of STEM Panel for CBC’s Annual Legislative Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C. (FNN NEWS) By CBCF  Increasing access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education builds a pipeline to the jobs of tomorrow and continues America’s proud legacy of innovation. However, even with the spotlight on STEM, women and minorities are severely underrepresented in these fields. The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), in collaboration with Honorary Host Congressman Marc Veasey, will highlight the many ways to empower women of color to uphold America’s tradition of innovation through a lively discussion.


The panel, entitled “Women in STEM: A Gender Gap to Innovation,”  will be held in room 147-B at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from 3:00-5:00 pm EST on Thursday, September 15, 2016.
