FNN NEWSNEW YORK, NY—The NFL announced that renowned football athlete and YouTube creator Deestroying will bring his popular 1ON1 series to nine cities in NFL markets and one international city. This will be the first time the 1ON1 tour will expand globally to London, a key international market for the league.
Leading up to Training Camp and the 2023 season, the 1ON1 tour celebrates football in communities within NFL club markets, giving emerging local talent a platform to showcase their skills. For each 1ON1 event, Deestroying invites talented wide receivers and defensive backs to go head-to-head in multistage competitions. The competitions will be shared on Deestroying’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@Deestroying), where his 1ON1 series has garnered immense popularity, with videos that have captured more than 100M+ views to date.
“I cannot wait to bring the 1ON1s on its first global tour with the NFL, as we invite the best local athletes to come out and show what they got,” said DEESTROYING. “To use my platform and the NFL’s to spotlight these talented players, while also inviting the 1ON1 all-stars to The Pro Bowl Games, where the best in the NFL will also compete, is a dream come true.”
The 1ON1 tour will begin this summer in Denver and continue throughout the season. In addition to inviting local athletes to compete, each event will feature special guests and surprise appearances from NFL players, Legends and celebrities. The top four participants, two wide receivers and two defensive backs, will be selected from each city, and all 40 all-stars will compete in the ultimate 1ON1 competition at the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.
“As a talented football player and content creator, Deestroying is an incredible partner for the league, effortlessly blending UGC creation and the game” said EDDIE CAPOBIANCO, NFL VP of Culture Marketing. “Part of our core strategy is to continue creating meaningful connection with younger audiences, and Deestroying is an integral part of this effort, as he not only drives millions of views with his videos, but also provides up-and-coming local athletes with the chance to compete nationally and, for the first time this year, internationally.”
“We’re thrilled to see Deestroying’s 1ON1 tour come to London for the first time, coinciding with a record number of regular season games in Europe this year,” said STEPHANIE HSIAO, NFL VP of International Marketing & Fan Development. “We’ve seen the passion of football fans globally, and we can’t wait to see that same sentiment when local athletes around the UK come out to show off their talent in the London 1ON1.”

This fall, YouTube becomes the new exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket. YouTube’s partnership with the NFL includes giving select YouTube creators, like Deestroying, exclusive access to official NFL content and unique attendance opportunities at NFL games and events.
Born in Costa Rica, Deestroying’s path to stardom is uniquely his own. After moving to the U.S. with his family when he was seven years old, his talent and passion for football led to a full-ride scholarship as starting kicker for the University of Central Florida – where he first began creating his signature videos. His fast-paced rise into the spotlight has paved the way for other young athletes to seek alternative channels of success and financial opportunity beyond the conventional routes.
