Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz Kickoff Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz will join local elected officials and members of the community for the City of Orlando’s 13th annual Hispanic Heritage Month event, celebrating the many contributions, diverse cultures and extensive histories of Central Florida’s growing Hispanic and Latino community.

The kickoff event, sponsored by Lanco Paints and Coatings, will feature Latin food, music and cultural dances, as well as an art exhibit of 26 Central Florida’s artists. In keeping with the Hispanic Heritage Month national theme, “Hispanic Americans: A History of Serving Our Nation,” the city will be honoring exemplary Hispanic community leaders who have positively influenced others, demonstrated a passion to serve and contributed to the well-being of Orlando’s diverse multicultural community.
