Osceola County Clerk of the Courts Armando Ramirez Backs Andrew Jeng in Kissimmee City Commission Race
KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Osceola County Clerk of the Courts Armando Ramirez endorsed Andrew Jeng for Kissimmee City Commissioner Monday, making him the first Osceola County constitutional officer to endorse Jeng.
Clerk Ramirez is very selective about whom he endorses, but he values Andrew Jeng for his personal approach with voters. “I endorse Andrew Jeng because he came and knocked on my door,” Ramirez said. “No other [2018] City Commission candidate has done that.”
Clerk Ramirez, a retired Army veteran and former New York police officer, was the first-ever Hispanic American to be elected as Clerk of Courts in the State of Florida in 2012. Clerk Ramirez’s law enforcement background and sense of justice strongly resonated with Jeng, who is also a former law enforcement officer and is currently an international police liaison, bringing law enforcement officers to Central Florida from overseas to learn and train here.
Clerk Ramirez warmly recalled his conversation with Jeng. “[Andrew] knocked on my door, we talked, and he answered all of my questions.”

Like Clerk Ramirez, several other elected officials have recognized Jeng’s penchant for empathy and careful consideration. Osceola Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor Deborah Livingston noted in her endorsement that if voted to the Kissimmee City Commission, Jeng will be “someone who listens to our concerns.”
Andrew Jeng’s ground game has been consistent and persistent since he first launched his campaign in August of 2017, and in the past year, he has spoken to Kissimmee voters from all walks of life, learning what matters most to them. Jeng is pursuing his bold vision to unify the City of Kissimmee, celebrate its diversity and ensure that all Kissimmee residents are heard.
ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN Sports) – Russell Henley wins his first red cardigan at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, today, along with $4 million of the $20 million prize pool. The red cardigan was first awarded in 2017, in memory of Arnold Palmer who passed the year before. This is Henley’s fifth win on the PGA Tour.

Henley finished at 11 under par for the four day tournament, carding a 70 today. Collin Morikawa finished in second place at 10 under par. API defending champion, Scottie Scheffler, finished today at 4 under par, tied for 11th place.

This coming week, the top golfers head to TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, for The Players Championship. The winner will walk away with $4.5 million of the $25 million up for grabs. This is the PGA Tour’s largest regular season purse. Stay tuned to www.FloridaNationalNews.com for more.

The number one ranked golfer in the world, Scheffler finished at 15 under par for the four day tournament, carding a 66 today. Wyndham Clark finished in second place at 10 under par. API defending champion, Kurt Kitayama, did not make the cut, this weekend, finishing 7 over par after the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday.
