[PHOTOS] 2019 Cannes Film Festival Opens with Adam Driver Zombie Comedy

CANNES, France (FNN NEWS) — The 78th International Cannes Film Festival opened Tuesday, May 14, 2019 with the premiere of Jim Jarmusch’s zombie movie “The Dead Don’t Die.”

It’s the first time a zombie film has opened the Cannes Film Festival. According to the AP, the film, starring Bill Murray, Adam Driver and Tilda Swinton, is “a bloody and droll apocalyptic tale inspired by George Romero.”
