ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – State Representatives Bruce Antone, Kamia Brown and State Senator Randolph Bracy will host a joint Town Hall Meeting to inform the community about the Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP), effective July 1, 2018. The plan resulted from the 2016 Springs and Aquifer Protection Act, which addressed the nitrogen pollution impacting the state’s water quality.
Property owners will have an opportunity to learn about the upcoming Septic Conversion Plan that requires changes to septic tank permitting, including upgrade timelines and costs to existing systems.
Representatives from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida Department of Health along with other state and local agencies will present a clear understanding of the BMAP, timelines and costs to consumers.
