Rick Singh Seek Votes In One Of Orange County’s Largest African American Community

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh was out campaigning in one of Orange County’s largest African American communities in west Orlando Wednesday morning.

Singh was also among several elected officials and candidates of the Democratic party attending an Orlando rally with former President Bill Clinton at the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center.

Last year, Singh released to the public the total number of Homestead Exemptions filed with OCPA for the 2015 tax roll.

According to Singh, approximately 18,000 Homestead Exemption applications were applied for and granted, resulting in $841 million of exempted residential property. This represents a significant savings for Orange County homeowners.

Singh is currently running for re-election for a second term against Republican Edward DeAguilera and write-in candidate Christopher Casler in the November general election.
