[Upcoming Event Alert] 2020 Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Festival

TAMPA BAY, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Tampa’s historic community event begins Saturday January 25th, Since 1904, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla has presented the Gasparilla Invasion and the Parade of Pirates. This year’s 2020 Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Fest will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the Tampa Convention Center’s Invasion Brunch. Along the waterfront, guests can witness the The Krewe, a group of pirates known for their theatrical noise cannons, begin the Gasparilla Invasion at approximately 11:30 a.m. Their goal is to negotiate Mayor Jane Castor’s, surrender of the Key to the City of Tampa. With the Jose Gasparilla docking tableside at 1:00 p.m., the Captain of the Krewe is already anticipating the surrender. If all goes according to plan, the Krewe of merry pirates will take to the the streets to celebrate. The Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates will commence at 2 p.m., at Bay to Bay and Bayshore.

Dave Bautista, 6-time WWE® world champion and Marvel star, will serve as the Grand Marshal. Lt. Travis Maus, of the Tampa Police Department, will be honored as this year’s community hero. Along the Riverwalk in Downtown Tampa, an expanded Pirate Fest will feature stages with live entertainment, pre and post parade, presented by Bud Light Seltzer.
