[VIDEO] Exclusive: Orlando Flash Flooding Causes Stalled Cars and Traffic Delays at Fashion Square

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – One of Florida’s typical “afternoon monsoons,” in this case a thunderstorm, caused major flooding, traffic delays and stalled cars at the intersection of Maguire Road and Colonial Drive near Orlando Fashion Square Mall. Orlando Fire Department came on scene quickly and escorted stranded drivers from their vehicles. They additionally warded off drivers from the intersection by telling them to turn around and by placing crime scene tape across Colonial Drive at the Maguire Road stoplight to keep people drivers from crossing and falling into the massive dip in the intersection.

“I’ve seen floods, but not like this,” said Natty, a driver who had to crawl onto the roof of his stalled car on Maguire Road as he headed to the mall for a workout at Planet Fitness. “This was four feet.”
