This was Orlando’s largest food distribution event, giving away over 150,000 pounds of food. 200 volunteers helped impact over 5,000 people in a few short hours. This event took place in the heart of Orlando at Camping World Stadium, one of Central Florida’s largest venues.

Headline sponsors included Nations Church, Don Mealey’s Sports, Mazda, and newly drafted Philadelphia Eagles player Nakobe Dean. Dean sponsored an additional $5,000 in gas gift cards to ensure that families had a way to make it to and from Feed-A-Palooza. Nations Church additionally supplied an outreach team that brought the food directly to the doorsteps of people in need. Many other community partners joined the cause as well.

Richard Ruiz, a Nations Church volunteer, shared with FNN News that people were touched by the sponsors’ generosity in supporting the Central Florida community. He later went with the outreach team to deliver food directly on doorsteps. He also mentioned that people were expecting a miracle in their lives and God not only touched their lives, but sent amazing people to support them.

For the first time in history, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Midwest Food Bank, 4Roots, and Feed The Need came together to fight hunger supporting the mission of people helping people and doing it for the city. Together as one, these ministries are driven to serve the community and make a more tremendous and positive difference in Central Florida.
