Alongside Representatives Anna Eskamani and Carlos Guillermo-Smith, Charlie Crist Opens Second Regional Campaign Office in Central Florida
ORLANDO — Today, Charlie Crist, candidate for governor of Florida, was joined by State Representatives Anna Eskamani and Carlos Guillermo-Smith in unveiling the campaign’s second regional office, located in Central Florida at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) headquarters in Orlando.
This office — which continues to distinguish Crist as the only democratic gubernatorial candidate to open regional offices in the state this cycle — will serve as a hub for staff, grassroots supporters, and volunteers in Central Florida to mobilize and engage voters in the upcoming elections.
The opening comes as the Florida Education Association and the Florida AFL-CIO, Florida’s largest labor organization, threw the full weight of their support and resources behind Charlie in the race to unseat Governor Ron DeSantis.
“Our campaign’s second regional office in Central Florida will serve as yet another hub for our grassroots supporters to engage and mobilize in our mission to take back the Governor’s Mansion for the people of Florida,” said Charlie Crist. “Central Florida is key in our fight for issues impacting folks across the state, from the affordability crisis that is hurting everyday Floridians to climate change that threatens our way of life. I’m grateful to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades for welcoming us into their home as we work together to defeat Governor DeSantis and build for a Florida that works for All.”
This second grand opening comes on the heels of Crist opening the campaign’s first regional office in South Florida just last week. Crist solidifies his status as the frontrunner in the Democratic primary with over $11.5 million raised, endorsements from over 160 community leaders and elected officials, including State Senator Annette Taddeo, and as the only Democratic candidate with union support.
ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN Sports) – Russell Henley wins his first red cardigan at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, today, along with $4 million of the $20 million prize pool. The red cardigan was first awarded in 2017, in memory of Arnold Palmer who passed the year before. This is Henley’s fifth win on the PGA Tour.

Henley finished at 11 under par for the four day tournament, carding a 70 today. Collin Morikawa finished in second place at 10 under par. API defending champion, Scottie Scheffler, finished today at 4 under par, tied for 11th place.

This coming week, the top golfers head to TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, for The Players Championship. The winner will walk away with $4.5 million of the $25 million up for grabs. This is the PGA Tour’s largest regular season purse. Stay tuned to www.FloridaNationalNews.com for more.

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN Sports) – Scottie Scheffler wins his second red cardigan at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, today, along with $4 million of the $20 million prize pool. The red cardigan was first awarded in 2017, in memory of Arnold Palmer who passed the year before. Scheffler first won the API in 2022.

The number one ranked golfer in the world, Scheffler finished at 15 under par for the four day tournament, carding a 66 today. Wyndham Clark finished in second place at 10 under par. API defending champion, Kurt Kitayama, did not make the cut, this weekend, finishing 7 over par after the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday.
