Astronauts Make History for NASA with All-Female Space Walk

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Two women took a giant leap into the history books with the first all-female space walk for NASA at the International Space Station.

Fifty years ago, men walked in space. Today, NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir made history during the 421st spacewalk. NASA originally postponed their mission to repair a broken battery charger (BCDU) due to NASA not having space suits small enough for their women astronauts. NASA sent new suits and this morning the female pair stepped out of the structure of the International Space Station working to fix the broken part. Watch this historical event live.
