Cedars-Sinai Board Of Governors To Honor Adele & Beny Alagem And Sylvester Stallone At 2016 Annual Gala

LOS ANGELES, (FNN NEWS) — The Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors honors Adele and Beny Alagem with thePhilanthropic Leadership Award and Sylvester Stallone with the Heart of Hollywood Award at their 2016 Gala, Oct. 20, 2016, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Jay Leno hosts; Matthew Morrison performs. Event Chairs are Paul Guerin and Robert Barth.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute. Under the leadership of Clive Svendsen, PhD, the Kerry and Simone Vickar Family Foundation Distinguished Chair in Regenerative Medicine, the world-renowned institute advances the field of regenerative medicine by translating laboratory discoveries into ground-breaking stem-cell-based treatments for skeletal disorders and diseases of the brain, eye, pancreas, liver and blood.
For the 12th consecutive year, Lexus has been title sponsor for the gala event. Lexus will donate a 2017 Lexus LX 450H Hybrid Drive luxury vehicle to be raffled that evening.
Honorees Adele and Beny Alagem, as two of the city’s most dedicated philanthropists, have leant their passion and support to a host of organizations, including Cedars-Sinai.
Beny is Chairman and CEO of Alagem Capital Group and Oasis West Realty, an asset management firm that owns The Beverly Hilton Hotel and The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. Adele was born and raised in Beverly Hills. They married in 1980.
Academy Award© nominee Stallone first gained the attention of audiences in playing the now iconic title role in his own screenplay, Rocky, which won the Best Picture Academy Award© in 1976. This has been followed by more than four decades of starring roles in feature films, many of which he also wrote and directed, including Rambo, The Expendables and their sequels,Demolition Man, Copland, Get Carter and other motion pictures that have cemented Stallone’s stature as an icon in the entertainment industry. An accomplished artist, Stallone is also a dedicated philanthropist and supports several causes close to his heart.
Established in 1971, the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors is a diverse community of donors and leaders committed to supporting the Medical Center by providing financial resources, educational experiences for its members and volunteer opportunities. In the past decade, the group has committed almost $100 million to fund lifesaving research and patient care at Cedars-Sinai.

(Florida National News) – Some big names in sports, entertainment, and music can be found with golf clubs in hand at The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, this weekend. About 50 celebrities will compete for a $500,000 purse, while LPGA Tour players try to grab their share of $2 million in prize money.
Today, LPGA pros Megan Khang, Alexa Pano, and Bailey Tardy took on celebrities Landon Donovan, Major League Soccer legend, Michael Peña, award-winning actor, and Kira Dixon, Reporter and Miss America 2015 in the annual “Break The Glass” challenge.
