ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN) – Grocery giant Winn-Dixie, in partnership with the Winn-Dixie Gives Foundation, joined forces with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to distribute free food to 500 families in Seminole County as part of Hunger Action Month.

The event aimed to alleviate food insecurity for local families by providing a combination of fresh produce and non-perishable pantry items.

Each September, Winn-Dixie commits to supporting hunger relief efforts by donating food and volunteer hours to local communities.
