Jon Ossoff, Karen Handel Will Go to Runoff in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District Race

GEORGIA, (FNN NEWS) – Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel, advanced to a June 20 runoff in the special election for the U.S. House seat vacated by Tom Price, the new Health and Human Services Secretary.

Ossoff Falls Short On Obtaining 50%

All eyes are on Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District race as the GOP gets a wakeup call in the special congressional election. No candidate obtained 50% or more of the vote for the House seat. Ossoff netted 48.1% and Handel 19.8%.
