Actionable Fashion: Master the Art of Summer Party Style

by Danisha LaShae

It’s officially bikini season! Well, for some of us. The summer is all about embracing that unruly hair, showing off that glistening skin, wearing natural makeup, showing off that fabulous body (in the most respectful way), and parties – lots of them. So I’ve created three different summer party outfits that capture all the exciting summer weather benefits and can be worn to any of those awesome parties you’ll be invited to (or choose to crash). Whether it’s a day, beach, or night party, you’ll step into the place looking like you’ve been kissed by the sun. You’ll thank me later. 😉

Whenever you go to a beach party, you never want to be that girl that’s baring it all. Go for a casual yet bohemian look by pairing a bold bikini with a fringe kimono. For an edgier look, pair it with some gladiator sandals and mirrored aviators, and you’re good to go. Don’t forget the sunscreen.

This versatile outfit you can rock day or night. It’s more relaxed than anything else. You can glam it up with a pair of chunky heels, or relax it with a pair of jeweled sandals. Even if you don’t feel comfortable with wearing a romper by itself, try throwing on a cargo style vest that’s longer than the romper.

Summer Night Party

The relaxed/pajama style shorts are so in right now. (Trust me, I have 4 pairs.) They can be easily paired from day to night.

Now, this outfit is for the bold, so if you’re not completely ready to wear “pajama” style shorts out, no worries – you will one day. You’re also probably thinking, “Seriously, Danisha, black and white in the summer?” Girl, yes! Black and white is so on trend right now as well. The beauty of this ensemble is that the summer colors are in the shorts, and the best way to add more color to the outfit is by accessorizing from one of the shorts’ colors, such as the green.

I hope you’ve been inspired by the different aspects of summer. Don’t forget: fashion is all about having fun. It’s what you make it.
