NEW YORK, (FNN NEWS) – Puerto Rican superstar Don Omar, puts an end to the rumors in an exclusive interview on the #1 radio station in the United States, Mega 97.9FM in New York property of Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. (SBS) (Nasdaq: SBSA). Don Omar spoke with Alex Sensation host of the most-listened to radio show “La Mega Mezcla con Alex Sensation” on MEGA 97.9FM in New York City, which is broadcast simultaneously in South Florida on El NUEVO ZOL 106.7FM.

The artist confirmed exclusively during his interview that “The Kingdom” Daddy Yankee vs Don Omar tour will in fact take place on July 30th in New York City, August 6th in Miami and August 27th in Los Angeles, among other cities.

Rumors stemmed after Don Omar supposedly left the stage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he was appearing alongside Daddy Yankee for a performance. Don Omar’s actions could have been due to some differences that began during the recent Billboard Latin Music Awards, where both artists seemed somewhat distant. According to international media, rumor was that Don Omar had his back facing Daddy Yankee.

“I feel that I have the responsibility to my fans to set the record straight and explain what really went down that night. A lot of people thought I had left Vegas and that I left Daddy Yankee stranded on stage, but that’s not the truth. The fact is that Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world and anyone who’s had the opportunity to see a show in Vegas, knows that they all end at 11:30 at night, because for casinos their business is to have people gamble… so the venue turned on the lights, and when I saw that I said my goodbyes to the crowd,” confirmed Don Omar during his radio interview with Alex Sensation on Mega 97.9FM.

“The Vegas show was delayed an hour and a half, things that happen in production, that have nothing to do with Daddy Yankee and have nothing to do with Don Omar, and don’t have anything to do with any animosities between me and Daddy Yankee,” affirmed Don Omar. “I don’t control production, and I have nothing to do with them turning the lights on during the show, my show did not happen due to time constraints.”

Félix Cabrera Presenta and LaMusica production teams have confirmed the tour dates for “The Kingdom” Daddy Yankee vs Don Omar. The tour kicks off on July 30th at Madison Square Garden in New York City, then on August 6th at the American Airlines Arena in Miami and to Los Angeles on August 27th, as we all want to crown the real King of Reggaetón. The tickets for these huge concerts go on presale beginning June 9th on www.ticketmaster.com.

“The Kingdom”: Daddy Yankee vs Don Omar, is one of the most anticipated tours in the Hispanic market. The two stars joined forces for 60 stops and two years of international tour on December 5, 2015 in San Juan Puerto Rico.

Daddy Yankee and Don Omar have both taken reggaetón to mainstream and the general market. Among the two, they have 11 number one hits on the Billboard Latin Album charts, 28 top 10 hits on Hot Latin Songs chart, and more than 4 billion views combined in their VEVO channels. Don Omar has had innovative hits with “Danza Kuduro” and “Virtual Diva,” which have transcended culture boundaries. Likewise, Daddy Yankee has an arsenal of hits beginning with the famous “Gasolina” to his most recent single “Vaivén” and “Shaky Shaky,” which are moving up the charts.

After four sold-out concerts in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee and Don Omar are prepared for the US leg of their tour.
