DOFW Day 5: 4 Young Nation Expo Booths You Couldn’t Afford to Miss

by Monica Michel and Mellissa Thomas

The Young Nation Beauty, Health & Art Shopping Expo featured Orlando’s premier entrepreneurs and businesses. Smooth Jazz 102.5 WLOQ spun the day’s tunes while patrons flowed in and enjoyed the day’s offerings.

Customers had three irresistible jewelry vendors to choose from:

  • Wendy Leininger, Independent Designer for Origami Owl Custom Jewelry and Style Advisor for Lulu Avenue Jewelry catalog
  • DOFW Participating Designer Totally Betty Society
  • No Frills Boutique

The expo was fashion heaven, offering not only jewelry, but dresses and great clothing from CCouture, and innovative sunglasses from Inno 25 Shades.

But no one skipped these four booths.

1. Mary Kay consultants were on the scene at the Young Nation Beauty, Health & Art Shopping Expo giving away goodie bags and providing useful tips on basic skin care.

2. After an evening of exciting shopping, what better way to unwind than a wonderful seated massage courtesy of the Florida College of Natural Health. Boy was it good!

3. No Frills Boutique made this beautiful (and tempting) accessory spread, and stuck it out until after cleanup, and literally cleaned up. The No Frills Boutique ladies made the highest revenue there.

4. Can’t forget the tasty food provided all week long by John & Shirley’s Catering. The food was delicious and the vibes great. Shirley (below, left) threw down some moves on the dance floor to the DJ’s tunes between servings.

That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more highlights of this year’s 2013 Downtown Orlando Fashion Week. Stay beautiful!
