ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN) – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed two arrests in the September 5 shooting on Americana Boulevard.

• Derrick Sharod Lafure, 17, was arrested in Florida on September 17, charged with First Degree Murder with a Firearm.
• Ja’Corey Latrieus Lowery, 17, was apprehended on November 15 in Greensboro, North Carolina, by U.S. Marshals, also charged with First Degree Murder with a Firearm.

The shooting victim, Arthy Sony Cetoute, 17, passed away from his injuries on September 7, 2024. Deputies responded to the scene on September 5, finding Cetoute critically injured at the 1800 block of Americana Boulevard at approximately 7:20 PM.

Authorities have not disclosed when Lowery will be extradited to Central Florida. The investigation remains active, with detectives pursuing all available leads.
