Democratic Firebrand and Former Congressman Alan Grayson Files to Run for Congressional District 10

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN) – Former Congressman Alan Grayson filed paperwork with the Florida Division of Elections today to run for Congress in District 10, representing Orlando. “There’s a lot of room for improvement in people’s lives,” said Grayson in the press statement announcing his campaign. “We are fighting inflation to the death. I want lower taxes, lower tolls, and lower rent, and all those things can be accomplished.”

In the press release, Grayson is touted as “the candidate with the most experience, and most name recognition in the redrawn District that spans most of metro Orlando.”

“I have a record of getting good things done,” Grayson said in the press statement. “Someone has to fight for the benefit of ordinary people.”

Grayson served three terms in the United States Congress and, according to the press release, passed “more laws (121) than any other member from 2013-2017.” He is married to Dr. Dena Grayson and has 5 children.

The CD 10 crowded quickly with Congresswoman Demings vacating the seat to run against Senator Marco Rubio, and with the recently redrawn district, many are salivating for the seat. According to the Florida Division of Elections, these are the candidates who have now officially qualified for the midterm primary election ballot:
